Dodd Seeks U.S. Program to Buy `Distressed' Mortgages

Jan. 23 (Bloomberg) -- Senate Banking Committee Chairman Christopher Dodd proposed a federal program to buy loans at steep discounts as part of an effort to help homeowners avert foreclosures in the wake of the subprime mortgage crisis.
Ok that is fine and dandy but what about me? Cant you give me like 800k to buy a nice little house? I swear I will put in like 10k for a down payment? Im good for it!
Why are they bothering to try to bail out all these people. Its lost, the value of housing cannot stay as high as it is. I am a young (sorta) professional with a decent job (for now) and I cant afford a decent house?
I almost bought at the top a 400k house and was outbid. I am glad I ran into sites like Patrick.net and people like Peter Schiff. I made a lucky decsion not to get into the housing market and it seems like the wrong one. I should have bought that 500k 1 bedroom condo. It seems the govenerment would want to help me if I had done it.
Well F the Government and their housing welfare I dont need it, Im an American! I will trudge away at my job (before they lay me off) and will continue to save and make prudent decisions in my life. When hard times hit I will hit them back with hard work like Americans have always done.
This bust will be a good thing I think. It will bring Americans back to reality and show us what we are really made of. Depression/Stagflation will suck but it will make our country great again when we cut off all the bad limbs of the past few decades. America can be great again.
Oh yeah, If I was mega rich, I would just laugh off this post, fly to cannes and have a good time. Being poor sucks! Viva Money!

Ask not
I am a middle class married male with no children and renting. I have been waiting to buy a house for 5 years now. I almost jumped into a crazy over priced house due to the presure of realtors and ignorant people. I am glad I told Suzanne to F off!
Anyway, I work with a lot of people on welfare. They like to complain how their job sucks and they should get more pay. Most of these people are ex gang members, ex cons, and just stupid ass lazy. All the time they spend bitching about how bad their job is could be used to get an education and move up.
One lady was a temp worker and could not get hired on by the company. She had lied about getting her High School Diploma and then she had a few driving tickets that she had not cleared up. She bitched and moaned that it was unfair and why wouldnt the company hire her.
Apparently to her personal responsiblity was not a big deal. She could have cleared up those tickets but instead she denied it and kept driving without a license and bitching how unfair it was to her. The company refused to hire due to character issues and finally let her go from her Temp position.
I pay a BUTTLOAD of money to drive! I have to pay my stupid car tags every stinking year and my stupid insurance. That is a ton of cash I could use for other things and this BITCH is driving around in her new Durango complaining WIC isnt giving her enough money.
It sucks to see all these people getting away with being irresponsible. I have my savings, I have my investments, I have my cash and I have nothing to show for it. Im sure all that is going down the toilet cause our great governerment is pandering to the ignorant poor.
I dont ask for much. I want good roads to drive to work (so I pay gas taxes which they steal). I want a nice place to live(I pay rent and the owner pays property taxes). I want a safe country (I pay fed taxes to pay for guns an bullets for the millitary). I dont want a hand out or my tax money to go to stupid people who will squander it all! All I want is to keep the money I HAVE SLAVED for. F the poor and the stupid.

Ouch
They just dropped interest rates again. The government is out to screw the middle class. The Dow just dropped 200 points. Are the traders trying to scare Bernanke into dropping it even lower? I dont know anything about the market but I watch and try to understand it everyday.
It is getting scary how prices are going up and people are losing jobs. I am in the Inland Empire and it is getting bad. My whole family has something to do with Real Estate and most of them are out money.
What I can see we are in Recession. My warehouse is slow and orders are down. People made a big push for Retard Friday and now its over. I know Im not getting anyone a present this year (But they better get me one).
Everyday Im SEEING how bad its getting. Stores that have been around forever are closing. People are asking ME for money. Friends are losing houses left and right. The end is Coming and its coming soon!
Ok, dont get me wrong. Most people I know are financialy irresponsible in the 1st place. I dont want you to feel sympathy for these people cause they are bastards anyway! :) My REALTOR friends and Family made a ton of cash but Totaly reinvested into over priced real estate. Other people just refuse to learn english or go to skool to move up in life.
I CANT FEEL SORRY FOR THESE PEOPLE! They had a chance, and now my chance is here and I am going to save every penny I ever had. Im going to clean my car and take all that change I dropped and put it into the bank (Hopefully Bernanke will not steal it with inflation). Im gonna rip up all my credit cards and go buy a shot gun so when my stupid family come looking for me in my holed up little room, I will be ready for them! :)

F the poor
So I decided to be charitable and I made my wife donate her car to your favorite organization who has those santas ringing bells on the corner. We could have probably sold the car for a couple bucks. We took care of all the paperwork and they came and towed the car away. We sent everything to the DMV and thought we were done. We felt very good about helping the poor. Maybe some great tiny tim poor person would get a chance to drive.
So now 8 months later we get a ticket from the 91 Facist toll road org who is saying that we had run a toll booth on their dumb ass tollway!!! Toll Roads suck! Not only are they controlled by a faceless corp they congest the freeway even more. Im not saying the 91 freeway is perfect but that stupid toll road stops traffic to let these inbred hillbillies in their HUGE 4x4's that they bought with their HELOC's on their crappy condos that suck, merge onto the taxpayers freeway slowing us poor bastards down! They are gonna charge me a fee for a car I dont even have anymore! Then to add insult to injury they WANT ME TO FIX their mistake. They want ME to go to the DMV and prove my innocence.
At his pooint I am so ANGRY!!! I have to wake up early (I work nites) and deal with this because of some irresponsible assmunches who cant follow the laws! I get in my car and battle traffic to the DMV to check on the status of the transfer. My closest DMV is Norco, CA where I wait in line for 15 minutes to get to the real line. After they give me my ticket I waited for a whole hour.
OK the DMV is a horrible place, but the NORCO DMV is Hell! They dont call people in order there. They have 3 catagories of hell. G B H and I wish I had some while I was there. I was B196. So instead of calling B1 B2 B3 and so on, they call B129 B130 B140 H150 G200 B195 H140 B195 G122 and finally B196. Its enough to drive you nutz. JUST CALL 1 2 3 4 5!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHH I wonder why more people dont go DMVal like postal get it??? :)
Anyway, they finally call my number and I talk to the guy. They want me to PAY 5 dollars for a print out of the transfer. They system shows that our side of the paper work went through but it is still pending!!!! 8 fudging months later and its still pending! I immediatley ask for the supervisor and start yelling at her. I used to be very passive in life (yesterday) and now IM SICK OF IT ALL! So I start telling her its the DMV's fault that its not taken care of. What if THEY us the car to rob a bank and the police break down my door. "Oh thats not very likely."
Since I was not on the registration I couldnt get a print out anyway! It was confidential information that ONLY THE REGISTERED OWNER could have. Ok, so the State of California will take 1/2 of my money if I divorce that woman (that I love) they call my wife!!! So isnt 1/2 of her stuff mine???? And then how confidential is it when they are giving my name to the Fudgin toll road system! So I got really mad and I yelled at her, I kept saying, "Its your fault and you want me to pay 5 dollars!" I left before they kicked me out and I called the DMV.
Believe it or not they were more courteous, but not that much. She said I could use a copy I had made of the transfer. The lady also brought up that system showed everythng was good on my side and they were just waiting on the others to register the car.
Hell, now that I think of it, the tags havent been paid for. I wonder if they are going to come after us if they get busted for bad tags?
Anyway I then called the Army of the poor only to get a machine. I threatened to report the car stolen if they didnt call me back! And as of right now, they havent called me back. I will try again in the morning and rip someone a new asshole.
This is the last time I give to charity. My wife told me not to do it, the tax write off isnt that much. But did I listen????? I work too hard to let these bastard poor people just have my stuff. Poor people dont deserve my stuff. They will probably treat it like crap anyway. Look how they treated my car by not doing the legal thing??? Poor people should go out and get real jobs. Why do I have to pay taxes for these morons who dont understand that rules need to be followed to pull yourself out of poverty. Poor people of the world, you are not going to take advantage of me any more!!!
